Life is lived forward, understood backward, and this year, as I take a breath and look back, I can feel the fullness of what has been unfolding. Not in the big, loud moments, but in the quiet yeses, the brave decisions, and the steady choosing to step into the work I am called to do.
A year ago, I made a decision that absolutely shook me. I chose to go all in on Activate the Awesome. No safety net, no halfway, no dabbling. One hundred percent. Terrifying and exhilarating all at once. I stepped fully into solopreneurship, trusting the pull in my chest more than the doubt in my head, and committed to building something rooted in people, connection, and possibility.
And in the most unexpected way, this year became monumental.
When I look back now, I see the path so clearly. Every beginning again. Every room where I questioned whether I belonged. Every time I sat in my car after a session thinking, “Was that enough?” Every handshake. Every partnership. Every small moment that quietly shaped the bigger picture.
It All Mattered.
It mattered that I found my people and grew roots in places that felt like home. The Hurt Hub, NSA Carolinas, TEDx Sugar Creek Women. Communities that welcomed me, lifted me, challenged me, and helped me rise. It mattered that I kept showing up, heart first, with nothing to hide and everything to give.
It mattered that through my workshops and creative sessions, real relationships were built, not transactions. The awesomeness created through the Awesome Collective, the We Are Awesome sessions, and the monthly Solopreneur Circle programming reminded me again and again that people are craving connection, celebration, and spaces where they can show up fully as themselves. The laughter, the collective exhale, the trees, the identity shifts, the moments of recognition, that is the work. That is where the reengagement revolution begins.

This year also marked a meaningful professional milestone as I became one of the first Positive Impact Mapping® practitioners globally. Bringing this work into organizations, uncovering invisible influencers, and mapping relational energy in real time has added a powerful, human-centered layer to everything I do. It deepened my belief that culture changes when people feel seen, valued, and connected.
Another defining moment was creating my WHY film. Standing in my truth and sharing, openly and authentically, why this is not just work for me. It is lived experience. It is purpose. It is personal. Giving voice to that story felt grounding, affirming, and deeply aligned with who I am becoming.
And the Invitations This Year… What a Gift.

Co-hosting the Get Unclogged Conference and watching it become bigger than we ever imagined. Becoming a co-author of She Is Awakened and stepping into ministry work that reconnected me with my faith in a gentle, meaningful way. Working with clients in food manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service across the United States and the UK. Watching coaching clients activate their confidence and create futures they once doubted were possible.
And Then Came Moments That Still Take My Breath Away.
Being invited to open the LKN Chamber Women’s Conference, standing before 180 women as we Activated the Awesome together.
Delivering at a Sales Summit across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, witnessing a wave of energy, courage, and reengagement ripple across borders.
Wow. Wow. Wow.

And the tender truth is this:
The lost teen version of me, the one who didn’t know where she belonged or how to use her voice, would hardly believe this is her life. She would whisper, “Really? Us?” And I would smile and say, “Yes. Because now we know who we are. Now we are fully connected to our tapestry of awesome, and belonging comes from within.”
If This Year Has Taught Me Anything, It Is This:
When you work from your heart, when you move with intention, when you choose to rise, especially when no one is watching, life transforms faster than you can imagine. Small steps create huge momentum, and most days I am simply making it up a day at a time, trusting that each step is building something meaningful.
I am grateful beyond words. For the people, the places, the purpose, and the promise of what is still unfolding.
And as we step into 2026 together, may we continue to reengage, celebrate, and activate the awesome in ways we never thought possible.
